Visitors joined us for a special evening with Junko Ogawa, former Director of Magnum Photos Tokyo, as she reflected on her remarkable journey through the world of photography. Joining her for the discussion was legendary photographer Herbie Yamaguchi, who shared first-hand stories and insights from his decades-long career, making for a rare and memorable conversation between two of Japan's most respected figures in the photographic world.

Drawing on years of experience working alongside some of the world’s most iconic photographers, Ogawa-san shared insights from her career, offering a behind-the-scenes look at many of the influential works she helped bring to life. Joining her for the evening was legendary photographer Herbie Yamaguchi, who reflected on his own remarkable career and shared first-hand experiences from decades spent documenting people, places, and culture through his lens.
Together, Ogawa-san and Yamaguchi-san discussed their creative processes, the photographers who had influenced them most, and offered valuable advice on navigating both the artistic and business sides of photography. Attendees also had the rare opportunity to view Magnum photography catalogues that are seldom seen by the public.
The evening concluded with a Q&A session, allowing guests to engage directly with both speakers and gain further insights into the world of professional photography. Afterwards, Ogawa-san and Yamaguchi-san visited the Artober galleries, where they generously spent time speaking with exhibiting photographers and offering valuable first-hand feedback and encouragement on their work.
